Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) participated for the first time in the NAFSA Higher Education Fair, one of the world's most prestigious international events in the field of higher education, held in San Diego, USA, from May 27–30, 2025.
Istanbul Gelisim University once again demonstrated its commitment to helping young people gain international experience and grow into global citizens. Recently, Mehmet Emir Cetinberk, an expert from our university's International Exchange and Cooperation Coordinator's Office, met with students from Ozden Cengiz Anatolian High School to discuss the unique opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program and the Erasmus+ possibilities at Istanbul Gelisim University.
IECO held orientation meetings for students on May 29, 2025, for study mobility and on May 30, 2025, for traineeship mobility.
Within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Teaching Mobility program, Prof. Dr. Vitalina Babenko, a faculty member of V. N. Kharkiv National University, Ukraine, paid an official visit to Istanbul Gelisim University. During her visit, highly productive meetings were held aimed at enhancing mutual academic relations.
Istanbul Gelisim University continues to expand its academic collaborations in Europe as part of its internationalization strategy. In this context, new Erasmus+ agreements have been signed with Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești and Universitatea Romano Americana Asociatie in Romania. Both agreements were initiated and facilitated by International Exchange and Cooperation Specialist Ece Nur Yüksel.
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) is organizing a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) for the first time within the scope of Erasmus+, taking an important step in line with its internationalization goals. A total of 32 students from Poland, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia and Lithuania participated in the program, which will be held from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
On April 9, 2025, Istanbul Gelisim University had the pleasure of hosting students and academics from one of Malaysia's leading universities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Organized by the Directorate of International Exchange and Cooperation, this meaningful visit opened doors to both cultural exchange and potential academic collaboration.
On 8 April 2025, IECO specialist Ece Nur Yüksel, representing the International Exchange and Cooperation Coordination Office, participated in the 10th EURIE Eurasian Higher Education Summit held at Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center.
On March 21, 2025, an orientation meeting was held for the staff who were qualified to participate in the mobility after the announcement of the results for the 2022 Project Year Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Training Mobility, which of its results were announced on March 6, 2025.
Istanbul Gelisim University continues to expand its international academic collaborations. In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with New Uzbekistan University on March 19, 2025, to develop cooperation in academic, scientific, and cultural fields.
