Within this framework, a bilateral cooperation agreement has been signed with Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov, located in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
In line with its internationalisation vision, Istanbul Gelisim University has taken another important step by establishing a new international collaboration. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ programme, initiatives led by Lecturer İpek Ebru Karaçay, Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinator at Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School, have paved the way for the signing of an academic cooperation agreement with Alberta College, located in Latvia. This agreement aims to support high-quality education and international mobility in the fields of information technology and digital technologies.
Within the scope of our university’s internationalization efforts, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed with Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), one of India’s reputable higher education institutions, based on the existing Memorandum of Understanding, on 22 December 2025.
As İstanbul Gelişim University, we participated in the University Department Promotion and Career Fair, held on 17–18 December 2025 at the ICC Istanbul Congress Center. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) hosted another important international engagement as part of its goal to strengthen its global cooperation network. On 21 November 2025, representatives from Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, one of Latvia’s long-established higher education institutions, as well as representatives from Università degli Studi di Udine, Italy, visited IGU. The visit stood out as a strategic step toward enhancing academic, cultural, and research-oriented collaborations between the institutions.

As the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, we laid the foundations of our collaboration with L’Université Claude Bernard Lyon during the EAIE Fair, Europe’s largest higher education fair, held between 9–12 September 2025. Following the EAIE Fair, where the foundations of this cooperation were established, an Erasmus+ agreement was signed with L’Université Claude Bernard Lyon on 30 October.
