IECO participated in the Erasmus+ KA-131 Project Management Meeting


On 19-20 November 2024, IECO Coordinator Alisa USUBOVA and IECO Specialist Ece Nur YÜKSEL representing Istanbul Gelisim University participated in the Erasmus+ Higher Education KA-131 Mobility Project Management Meeting organized by the Türkiye National Agency hosted by Mardin Artuklu University.


On 19-20 November 2024, IECO Coordinator Alisa USUBOVA and IECO Specialist Ece Nur YÜKSEL representing Istanbul Gelisim University participated in the Erasmus+ Higher Education KA-131 Mobility Project Management Meeting organized by the Türkiye National Agency hosted by Mardin Artuklu University.

Following the opening speeches, on the first day of the meeting, Turkish National Agency Assistant Specialist Ahmet ÇÖREKCİOĞLU shared the “2024 grant evaluation” presentation with the participants. In the presentation made by Ahmet ÇÖREKCİOĞLU, Istanbul Gelisim University was among the universities that increased the grant amount by 57%.
Istanbul Gelisim University is sending more students and staff abroad every year with its increasing grant by effectively managing the KA-131 project, a program that enables student and staff exchange mobility to Erasmus+ program countries and countries associated with the program. Following Ahmet ÇÖREKCİOĞLU's presentation, Turkish National Agency Specialist Ercan LAÇİN presented  “Updates in the 2024 Guidebook” and Turkish National Agency Assistant Specialist Elifnur BOZÇAM presented “Inclusion Strategy/Inclusion Support”.

Following the lunch, the meeting proceeded in the form of a panel moderated by Ercan LAÇİN with presentations by Bilkent University and MEF University on recognition. After Ahmet ÇÖREKCİOĞLU's presentation on Documents Used in the KA131 Process and Interim Report Processes, the meeting ended with a question and answer session.
After a productive first day, on the 2nd day, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) Ondokuz Mayıs University Erasmus Institution Coordinator Mehmet TÜTÜNCÜ presented the BIP application example to the participants with a successful presentation. Following the presentation of Mehmet TÜTÜNCÜ, Ercan LAÇİN shared the problems/errors frequently encountered in final reports and audits with the participants. The meeting ended with the evaluation.

With the participation of  IECO in the meeting, the competence of the programme has further increased and with the ideas gained from the meeting, studies have been initiated to further increase the fluency and effectiveness of the process of the KA131 programme, which contributes significantly to the internationalization goals of IGU.
