Istanbul Gelisim University continues to expand its international collaborations under the framework of student mobility. As part of the Erasmus+ program, these initiatives aim to contribute to the professional and personal development of students. In this context, significant steps are being taken to establish a new internship agreement with Nexgen, a Spain-based company focused on technology and innovation.

The International Exchange and Cooperation Office (IECO) assistant expert, Mehmet Emir Çetinberk, held an online meeting with Cecilia Nilsson, a representative from Nexgen. During the meeting, a positive dialogue was established regarding the collaboration potential between the two institutions. Nexgen's focus on innovative projects and the wide range of international internship opportunities it offers were recognized as valuable prospects for university students. It was emphasized that this collaboration would provide Erasmus+ students with the chance to gain experience in the fields of technology and innovation, greatly benefiting their career development.

Nexgen is a company that specializes in technology, engineering, and digital innovations, and has made a name for itself with prestigious projects across Europe. The internship opportunities that will be offered to Erasmus+ students will allow them to develop their skills in an international work environment and gain valuable industry experience. The ongoing discussions suggest that both sides are eager to strengthen the collaboration.

Representatives from IECO expressed their belief that a potential agreement with Nexgen would expand internship opportunities for students across Europe. Additionally, they emphasized that such partnerships align with the university’s strategy of enhancing its international network and providing more options for Erasmus+ students. The discussions are expected to culminate in a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

Once signed, the agreement will enable Erasmus+ students to gain skills in different disciplines through internships at Nexgen and take active roles in international projects. This process will offer significant benefits to both the university and its students while ensuring that the collaboration with Nexgen continues to grow on a larger scale.
