Istanbul Gelisim University is Extending Cooperation in the Philippines


In February 2025, Istanbul Gelisim University and Batangas State University in the Philippines signed a bilateral cooperation agreement that paves the way for academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation.


In February 2025, Istanbul Gelisim University and Batangas State University in the Philippines signed a bilateral cooperation agreement that paves the way for academic, scientific and cultural cooperation.

Batangas State University, the National Engineering University in the Philippines, offers 46 engineering programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The Batangas State University, which provides quality education to students from 17 regions across the Philippines, is considered the largest engineering university in the Philippines in terms of enrollment and program offerings. Batangas State University also has significant achievements in world rankings. It was ranked as the 128th most innovative university in the 2024 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI). In addition, the university ranked between 601-800 out of 2152 universities across 125 countries/regions in the 2024 THE Impact rankings. Along with these important achievements, the university provides education at international standards in terms of campus facilities and number of faculty members. In the 2023-2024 Academic Year, the Batangas State University provided education to more than 61,000 students with approximately 3000 faculty members and staff on 11 campuses. Through the bilateral cooperation agreement signed by IGU with Batangas State University, which has achieved significant successes, the two universities will be able to collaborate in various fields and work together.
