On September 10, 2025, the Rector of Andijan State Technical Institute, one of Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions, together with his delegation, visited our university in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop joint projects. Within the scope of the visit, comprehensive meetings were held to develop academic and cultural collaborations between the two institutions. The meeting was attended by our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Nuri Kuruoğlu and Prof. Dr. Seyfettin Arda Öztürkcan, Director of International Student Affairs Umedjon Haitmurodov, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Bayram Ünal, Deputy Coordinator of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office Duygu Can, and UDIO-K Assistant Murat Emre Şensoy.
Founded in 1990 and being one of the leading technical universities of Uzbekistan, Andijan State Technical Institute offers education in the fields of engineering, architecture, and technology. With thousands of active students and a wide academic staff, the university prioritizes quality in education and research activities. During the visit, the education systems, research infrastructures, and student exchange programs of the two universities were shared in detail.
After the meetings, the delegation of Andijan State Technical Institute visited the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Istanbul Gelişim University. TTO officials made a comprehensive presentation about our university’s research and development activities, patent studies, and industry collaborations. The delegation received information about patent studies, joint R&D projects, and cooperation in the field of technology transfer. The potential joint studies of the two universities in the fields of research and innovation were evaluated to be projected in the future. This visit has been of great importance in creating new opportunities not only in academic collaborations but also in the field of research and technology.
This valuable visit makes an important contribution to strengthening higher education collaborations between Türkiye and Uzbekistan and to realizing new academic projects. Istanbul Gelişim University continues to increase its global visibility with the steadily growing bilateral cooperation agreements and continuously developing academic programs. Our university, with its strong academic staff, modern research infrastructure, and innovative approach, is proceeding with firm steps on the way to becoming a pioneering institution that is recognized in the global academic community.
