In line with its internationalisation vision, Istanbul Gelisim University has taken another important step by establishing a new international collaboration. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ programme, initiatives led by Lecturer İpek Ebru Karaçay, Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinator at Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School, have paved the way for the signing of an academic cooperation agreement with Alberta College, located in Latvia. This agreement aims to support high-quality education and international mobility in the fields of information technology and digital technologies.

Within the framework of this collaboration, the programmes of Computer Programming, Computer Technologies, Computer-Aided Design and Animation, Information Security Technologies, and Web Design and Development have been included in the agreement.

Through this partnership, it is intended to increase Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for students and academic staff in the relevant programmes, while also strengthening academic and cultural interaction between the institutions.

This new collaboration will carry IGU’s practice-oriented educational approach onto the international stage, contributing to the ability of students and staff to gain insight into different education systems and to acquire globally relevant skills. Expanding the university’s international partnership network, the agreement is expected to be further developed through joint projects and academic initiatives in the coming years.
